LAWRENCE --- After three years of negotiations, Boston-based developers are looking for state and federal tax credits in order to restore century-old mills into 500 units of housing.

MELROSE --- Melrose residents met with developers in City Hall to raise their questions and concerns regarding a proposal by Caritas Communities to rehab a building for use as a 16-unit lodging house.

WESTPORT --- The town has rejected a 40R proposal, opting to construct 54 affordable units rather than to nearly double the number in exchange for a greater amount of state funding.

ROXBURY --- The BRA has rejected plans from three different developers for the three-acre tract of land located across from Boston Police headquarters, citing that none of the proposals has met the minimum financial requirements to begin development.

BROOKLINE --- After more than 40 years, the only cooperative housing complex in Brookline will convert to market-rate condominiums. Selectmen have agreed to keep 25 percent of the units affordable.
